Specialty Symposium: Pediatric Burn Management Across the Care Continuum is brought to you by and NAPNAP and American Pediatric Surgical Nurses Association​ (APSNA). The event will be hosted in Baltimore on Sept. 23, 2018 at Embassy Suites by Hilton - Baltimore Inner Harbor. 

Course Description

Burns comprise a major mechanism of injury in children including both accidental and non-accidental injury. Despite the prevalence of burn injury many providers either have not been trained in the care of burns or do not feel comfortable treating burns. Burn injuries can have lasting effects, both physically and emotionally. Burn experts will discuss burn etiology, various treatment options, review recent innovations in burn care and discuss the psychological impact on both the patient and family.

Local Transportation

The hotel is located 10 miles from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). There are a few ways to get to the hotel from the airport: MTA Light Rail, airport shuttle and taxi.

If you are arriving by Amtrak to Baltimore Penn Station, you can take MTA Light Rail to the hotel.

Things to Do

Discover downtown Baltimore and the many things to do while staying at Embassy Suites by Hilton-  Baltimore Inner Harbor. The hotel is located four blocks from the famous Inner Harbor. Must-see attractions include the National Aquarium and the Maryland Science Center. Cheer on the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium or watch the balls fly at Oriole Park in Camden Yards. Baltimore is also home to two renowned museums, the Walters Art Museum and the Baltimore Museum of Art.

Refund Policy

We will refund your registration fees if we receive your cancellation in writing via mail, fax or email before Sept. 14, 2018. We cannot accept telephone cancellations. A $30 administrative fee will apply to all refunds.

Cancellation Policy

If NAPNAP finds it necessary to cancel this event for any reason including, but not limited to, registration responses, strikes or acts of God, liability shall be limited to a full refund of registration fees. Notification of a canceled event will be sent at least 10 days prior to the conference starting date, when possible. Registration refund will be processed within 15 days after event date.
