Dermatology SIG

The new Dermatology Special Interest Group (SIG) is for NAPNAP members interested in furthering their understanding of treatment and management for common pediatric dermatology conditions. Pediatric-focused advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) in primary care and related specialty care settings are encouraged to join to further their comfort level in treating dermatology conditions in children. APRN  students are highly encouraged to join to supplement their understanding during their academic program. The SIG is led by experienced pediatric dermatology nurse practitioners who work in pediatric dermatology practices throughout the United States.

  • Enhance member engagement by surveying SIG members to assess the group’s interest in engagement opportunities, occasional member feature posts, and participation in the SIG Showcase and the SIG business meeting at the NAPNAP conference.
  • Increase membership of the SIG by 10% by advertising dermatology education to all NAPNAP members and Open Forum communications about our SIG benefits.
  • Encourage SIG members to submit abstracts, poster presentations or podium presentations for the national conference.
  • Post and email SIG members once a month to regularly communicate with them about dermatology educational opportunities, both in the SIG e-community and via email.
