President Cathy Haut Participates in Germ University

Representing NAPNAP, President Cathy Haut joins leaders from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Association of School Nurses (NASN) and National Education Association (NEA) to partner with Lysol to bring “Germ University” to BlogHer, the nation’s largest event for bloggers and social media influencers, July 16-18, 2015 at the New York Hilton Midtown in Manhattan.

Twenty-two million school days are missed each year due to illness, resulting in countless days of makeup lessons to help students catch up on schoolwork. Germ University will provide Blogher attendees the opportunity to learn more about how to implement Health Habits in their overall wellness routines, in their homes and at school for their children. Attendees can share these lessons with their families and their blogs’ audiences to help prevent the spread of germs before they turn into illness.

Participants in Germ University will meet one-on-one with Cathy and her fellow experts to learn more and ask specific questions for their blog audience. The interviews will be conducted in a “speed dating” format where bloggers have timed rotations with representatives, providing a fun and interactive way to share health and wellness tips that are important to parents and education professionals.
