The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) is pleased to announce our Executive Board has named James H. Wendorf as chief executive officer, effective immediately. NAPNAP President Daniel Crawford noted, “Since joining NAPNAP in 2020 as executive director, Jim has provided steadfast leadership, guiding the organization through pivotal growth while strengthening our impact in the ever-evolving pediatric health care landscape.”
As CEO, Jim will continue to lead with vision and purpose, working collaboratively with our board, members, staff and partners to advance our mission and champion the critical role pediatric-focused APRNs have in global health care. Under Jim’s leadership, the Association recently launched NAPNAP Global Initiatives with partner TruMerit to diversify our organization’s education courses and resources for pediatric nurses and other health care providers beyond U.S. borders. This global venture is an investment in NAPNAP’s future, leading to expanded audiences, education, advocacy and child health impact.
President-elect Felesia Bowen added, “Jim’s commitment to advancing child health and professional development is matched by his collaborative spirit and strategic acumen. We are confident that under his continued leadership, NAPNAP is well-positioned to thrive in a dynamic and demanding health care environment.”
