CEO Transition

From President Dr. Felesia Bowen

After six years of dedicated leadership, we celebrate the remarkable tenure of NAPNAP CEO James Wendorf as he plans his retirement this summer.

Jim has guided the organization with vision and stability through a period of significant change, strengthening NAPNAP’s financial standing in the wake of the pandemic and positioning it for long-term success. His commitment to collaboration helped build meaningful partnerships with leading nursing and pediatric health care organizations, elevating NAPNAP’s voice and impact across the field.

Internally, Jim fostered a strong, unified culture bringing together the Executive Board, volunteer leaders and staff in ways that strengthened trust, communication and shared purpose. His leadership was also instrumental in launching transformative initiatives like NAPNAP Cares and NAPNAP Global Initiative, expanding the organization’s reach and mission.

We are grateful for Jim’s leadership, integrity and lasting contributions to our organization. We look forward to partnering with him in the coming months to ensure a thoughtful and seamless transition to NAPNAP’s next CEO.

The Executive Board has convened a search committee of key organizational leaders. The search committee is committed to identifying the next CEO who is deeply aligned with NAPNAP’s mission and brings strong expertise in association management best practices to lead the organization forward. Additional information about the search process will be shared as it becomes available.
