This year's Capitol Hill Day is offered in conjunction with our NP Leadership and Advocacy Forum. You can dive into key leadership issues and advocacy orientation on Nov. 3 and then join us for Congressional visits on Capitol Hill on Nov. 4. In addition to gaining valuable leadership skills to enhance your practice and advance your career, the NP Leadership and Advocacy Forum is your chance to build relationships and advocate for pediatric and advanced practice nursing priorities with your elected leaders.
The advocacy training and Hill Day orientation session during the forum on Nov. 3 will include printed materials to share during your Hill visits. Advocates are grouped by district or state and all Congressional appointments will be coordinated for you. Capitol Hill visits will be scheduled on Monday, Nov. 4 from about 9 a.m.-3 p.m. so please do not plan flights/trains until after 5:30 p.m. to allow time to pick up your luggage and travel to the airport/station. You will get your Hill Visit schedule on Sunday, Nov. 3. Due to Congressional office booking procedures and changes, we cannot provide schedules any sooner.
The forum will be hosted at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. Participants earn 11.0 CE contact hours. The registration fee for the two-day event is $300 for preferred members and $400 for nonmembers/essential members. Click below to register for the NP Leadership and Advocacy Forum.
