We are offering our highly-rated Acute Care PNP Certification Review course on Oct. 11-12, 2020, in the Chicago area at Embassy Suites by Hilton O'Hare-Rosemont. 


Course Description

This interactive, two-day course is designed to prepare graduates of acute care PNP programs for the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) acute care certification exam. We will focus on system-based acute care content and the role of the PNP in assessment, diagnosis and management of children with acute, critical and complex pediatric illnesses. Course faculty will integrate practice questions into each content area, using an audience response system, to assist in exam preparation.

CE: 15.0 contact hours

The review course is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day with breakfast provided.  

Registration is $300 for NAPNAP preferred members. NAPNAP essential members and nonmembers can register for $375. 


Day One

  • 7-8 a.m.—Registration and continental breakfast
  • 8-8:15 a.m. —Welcome attendees and introduce speakers
  • 8:15-9:15 a.m.—Certification/test taking/Growth and Development
  • 9:15–10:15 a.m.— Respiratory part 1
  • 10:15-10:30 a.m. – Break
  • 10:30 a.m.-Noon– Respiratory part 2 
  • Noon–1 p.m. – Lunch
  • 1–2 p.m.— Gastrointestinal/genitourinary 
  • 2-3 p.m.— Hematology/Oncology
  • 3:15-3:30 p.m. – Break
  • 3:30–4:40 p.m.—Neurology/sedation
  • 4:40–5 p.m.—Practice questions

Day Two

  • 8-10 a.m.—Cardiac
  • 10-10:15 a.m. —Break
  • 10:15-11 a.m. —Trauma/musculoskeletal
  • 11:15-Noon— Toxicology
  • Noon–1 p.m. —Lunch ( on your own)
  • 1–2:30 p.m.—Infectious diseases
  • 2:30-2:45 p.m. – Break
  • 2:45–3:45 p.m.—Fluid and electrolytes
  • 3:45–4:15 p.m.— Genetics
  • 4:15–5 p.m.—Practice questions

Transportation & Parking

The hotel, located just minutes away from O'Hare Airport, offers a complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle (contact the hotel for shuttle times). Self-parking is discounted to $15 for NAPNAP event participants. The hotel is located two blocks from the Rosemont Blue Line CTA station, taking you to downtown Chicago, for numerous sightseeing, dining and shopping options.

Things to Do

While Rosemont is conveniently located northwest of downtown Chicago and offers a variety of dining and shopping opportunities, it's easy to take the Blue Line into the city to explore Chicago's famous restaurants, museums, Michigan Avenue shopping and so much more.  

Registration Policies

Refund Policy

We will refund your registration fees if we receive your cancellation in writing via mail, fax or email before Oct. 5, 2020. We cannot accept telephone cancellations. A $30 administrative fee will apply to all refunds.

Cancellation Policy

If NAPNAP finds it necessary to cancel this event for any reason including, but not limited to, registration responses, strikes or acts of God, liability shall be limited to a full refund of registration fees. Notification of a canceled event will be sent at least 10 days prior to the conference starting date, when possible. Registration refund will be processed within 15 days after event date.
