We are offering our highly-rated Acute Care PNP Certification Review course live online on Oct. 11-12, 2020.  

Course Description

This two-day course is designed to prepare graduates of acute care PNP programs for the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) acute care certification exam. We will focus on system-based acute care content and the role of the PNP in assessment, diagnosis and management of children with acute, critical and complex pediatric illnesses. Course faculty will integrate practice questions into each content area, using an audience response system, to assist in exam preparation.

The review course is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (CT) each day.  

Registration is $300 for NAPNAP preferred and student members. NAPNAP essential members and nonmembers can register for $375. 


Day One

  • 9-9:15 a.m. —Welcome attendees and introduce speakers
  • 9:15-10:15 a.m.—Certification/test taking/Growth and Development
  • 10:15–11:15 a.m.— Respiratory part 1
  • 11:15-11:30 a.m. – Break
  • 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.– Respiratory part 2 
  • 1-2 p.m. – Lunch
  • 2–3 p.m.— Gastrointestinal/genitourinary 
  • 3-4 p.m.— Hematology/Oncology
  • 4-4:15 p.m. – Break
  • 4:15–5:30 p.m.—Neurology/sedation
  • 5:30–6 p.m.—Practice questions

Day Two

  • 9-11 a.m.—Cardiac
  • 11-11:15 a.m. —Break
  • 11:15-Noon —Trauma/musculoskeletal
  • 12:15-1 p.m.— Toxicology
  • 1–2 p.m. —Lunch 
  • 2–3:30 p.m.—Infectious diseases
  • 3:30-3:45 p.m. – Break
  • 3:45–4:45 p.m.—Fluid and electrolytes
  • 4:45–5:15 p.m.— Genetics
  • 5:15–6 p.m.—Practice questions


Registration Policies

Refund Policy

We will refund your registration fees if we receive your cancellation in writing via email before Sept. 28, 2020. We cannot accept telephone cancellations. A $30 administrative fee will apply to all refunds.

Cancellation Policy

If NAPNAP finds it necessary to cancel this event for any reason including, but not limited to, registration responses, strikes or acts of God, liability shall be limited to a full refund of registration fees. Notification of a canceled event will be sent at least 10 days prior to the conference starting date, when possible. Registration refund will be processed within 15 days after event date.
