CHERRY HILL, NJ (June 15, 2010) - The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) has been named to the 2010 Associations Advance America Honor Roll, a national awards competition sponsored by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) & The Center for Association Leadership, Washington, DC.

NAPNAP received the award for its brochure project “Vaccinations: Keeping Children Healthy for a Lifetime!”  The brochures are available in English and Spanish and address the importance of on time vaccination among children in the United States where immunization rates are low. The brochure includes information about recommended and required vaccines, record keeping, and dispels the myths/misconceptions associated with immunizations. This brochure was made possible through an unrestricted educational grant from Pfizer (formerly Wyeth Pharmaceuticals).

The Associations Advance America (AAA) Awards program recognizes associations that propel America forward with innovative projects in education, skills training, standards setting, business and social innovation, knowledge creation, citizenship, and community service.

The “Vaccinations: Keeping Children Healthy for a Lifetime!” brochure truly embodies the spirit of the Associations Advance America campaign. It is an honor and an inspiration to showcase this activity as an example of the many contributions associations are making to advance American society.
