Continuing Education Mission
The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners’ Continuing Education mission is to provide lifelong learning opportunities to support our members and other pediatric healthcare providers in promoting optimal health for children.

NAPNAP Signs CMSS Code for Interactions with Companies (9/13/2011)

NAPNAP is the first nursing organization to sign a voluntary pledge to be more transparent in dealings with pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers and other for-profit companies in the health care field.  NAPNAP joins 26 member societies, 5 associate members and 10 non-member societies in signing the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) Code for Interactions with CompaniesThe societies that are adopting the CMSS Code for Interactions with Companies agree to establish and publish conflict of interest policies as well as policies and procedures to ensure separation of program development from sponsor influence.  NAPNAP adheres to a very high ethical standard in all that we do, and is pleased to officially adopt this code.

NAPNAP's Continuing Education Guidelines are based on the Pharmaceutical Manufacturer's Association (PhRMA) Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) Code of Ethics on Interactions with Health Care Professionals, and the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) Code for Interactions with Companies.
