NAPNAP Encourages Timely Vaccinations
Sep 04, 2009
In preparation for the upcoming flu season, NAPNAP is encouraging all parents and healthcare providers to adhere to the CDC's immunization schedule and to vaccinate children accordingly. It is part of NAPNAP's mission to properly educate the public about adherence to immunization schedules. Consistent education, communication and timely immunization are the key components to battling preventable infectious diseases. When parents are properly educated about vaccines and their purpose, children are more likely to receive their vaccinations on time. NAPNAP currently has a Position Statement on Immunizations. To access it click here. All are cautioned to be cognizant of any future anti-immunization campaigns that may divulge erroneous information about vaccines and their affect on children. Please visit www.cdc.gov/vaccines for more information about immunization schedules, guidelines, requirements, myths and frequently asked questions. If you have questions or concerns about immunizing your child please contact your healthcare provider.
