Legislative Tracking Chart

We encourage you to explore NAPNAP's new legislative tracking program available in the Legislative Action Center.

Once you are on the Legislative Action Center page, click on the Issues & Legislation tab, then click on Current Legislation to access our personal legislative tracking.

Here NAPNAP members can preview those bills that NAPNAP is monitoring, supporting and opposing.  From the summary pages for each bill you can enter your zip code and send a message to your Representative and Senators asking for their support.  The nice feature of CapWiz is that it knows who your Representatives and Senators are by your zip code.  This section will be updated periodically, so plan to check in regularly.

NAPNAP is currently monitoring, supporting or opposing over 70 bills.  These bills address issues in Advanced Practice Nursing (6); Child Health (27); Childhood Obesity (6); Immunization (1); Child Care (2); Mental Health (6); Miscellaneous Issues (22); and Health Reform (1).

Definitions

Monitor: NAPNAP is interested in the legislative topic but does not officially support or oppose the legislation.

Support: NAPNAP has officially supported a bill, typically in the form of a letter.

Oppose: NAPNAP has officially opposed a bill, typically in the form of a letter.
