Hospitals and Communities Moving Forward with Patient-and Family-Centered Care Intensive Training Seminar—Partnerships for Quality and Safety Date: April 19-22, 2010 The Hospitals and Communities Moving Forward Intensive Training Seminar, with leadership support from Baylor Health Care System and the Children’s Medical Center, is April 19-22, 2010, in Dallas, TX. This seminar has been a significant force for change in improving the way health care is delivered. Participants will learn patient- and family-centered strategies that deliver safe and quality health care and how to guide their organization to create partnerships with patients and families on every level.
The seminar offers programming for adult and pediatric inpatient, primary care, medical home, and other ambulatory care, maternity care, newborn intensive care, mental health care, and emergency care. As hospitals and health systems struggle with issues related to quality, safety, cost efficiency, HIPAA and other privacy regulations, workforce capacity, the use of information technology, and the need to renovate or build new facilities, they are recognizing that patient- and family-centered approaches and the perspectives of patients and families are critical to their work.
Patient- and family-centered care offers a framework and practical strategies to respond to the increasing complexities of health care. Health care leaders can build capacity within their health system, hospitals, and community programs by sending a team to this seminar For more information, visit http://www.familycenteredcare.org/events/seminars.html.
